The United South Panthers defeated the Alexander Bulldogs 8-1 in the second game of their District 30-6A baseball series on March 12, 2026.

This victory completed a two-game series sweep for the Panthers, who also won the first game 8-0 on March 10.

United South Pitching: Senior Roman Martinez:  0.95 ERA, took the win on the mound with six innings pitched. His Fastball was 89 mph, topping out at 90 mph. Slider 76 mph Changeup 81 mph.

The Panthers recorded 11 total hits.  Rodrigo Elizondo, who went 2-for-3 with an RBI double, and Alex Galvan and Jerry Alvarez had two hits each.

United South jumped to a quick 4-0 lead in the first inning through RBI hits from Alex Galvan and Daniel Buentello. 

This District Games sweep by United South was their first two-game district series sweep of Alexander since 2018.
