ALYSSA ESPARAZA GOLF STATE

Alyssa "Aly" Esparza, United South Panthers, has reached the State in Golf and is the first FEMALE golfer from UISD AND United South High School to reach the state. Alyssa, after today's UIL REGION IV Golf Championships, advances after a playoff and came in second, securing her trip to state.

Alyssa is a standout sophomore golfer for the United South Lady Panthers in Laredo, Texas. As of April 2026, she is the two-time defending champion for both the Border Olympics and the District 30-6A individual girls' golf titles. 

District Champion (2025 & 2026): In April 2026, Esparza shot a two-day total of 147 at the Max A. Mandel Municipal Golf Course to successfully defend her District 30-6A title. Border Olympics Champion (2025 & 2026)
She won her second consecutive Border Olympics title in January 2026, highlighted by a career-low round of 67.

A 2026 Regional Qualifier with her recent district victory secured her a spot at the Regional IV-6A tournament at Brackenridge Park Golf Course in San Antonio.
