Following their recent victory over Laredo LBJ, they currently sit in 5th place (4–6 record), trailing LBJ by just half a game for the final postseason berth.
The Bulldogs must overtake Laredo Johnson (4–4) to maintain their 30-year playoff streak alive of making the playoffs.
Key Matchup will be the upcoming series against Laredo United, and it could turn into effectively an “elimination” series, as United (3–5) is also mathematically “appenitas” alive for the final playoff spot.
It's a must two wins for the Bulldogs to remain in the hunt of making the playoffs or being eliminated from the playoffs for the second time in the 30 year history of the Bulldogs.
The Alexander Bulldogs have never missed the playoffs since the program’s first season in 1995. Yes, Alexander High School is 30 years old.
As of April 2026, the team is currently in its 30th year of competition and is working to extend a 29-season playoff streak that dates back to 1996.
